Claim teen used rock to smash police SUV window
An 18-year-old man from suburban Batavia was charged with criminal damage to government property after he was arrested on the street in front of 5626 S. Archer at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, May 11. |
Guagliardo |
Donald James Dakota Guagliardo allegedly threw rocks at marked CPD SUVs, breaking a rear passenger-side window of one of them. Two counts of aggravated assault were added after Guagliardo allegedly threatened two police officers at the scene.
Police were called to the site to break up an intersection takeover at Archer and Laramie, a CPD spokesman said without elaborating. From information released, it is unclear of Guagliardo was in any way involved with the takeover, either as a driver or a spectator.
‘Suspicious person’ call leads to arrest

Sandoval |
Samuel J. Sandoval, of the 6100 block of West 63rd Place, was encountered by officers responding to a “suspicious person” call.
A CPD spokesman said he matched the description of a man seen rummaging through vehicles in or near the 6200 block of South Menard. The spokesman did not say what, if anything, was stolen from the vehicles.
Say elderly man drove drunk, crashed

A 65-year-old Auburn Gresham man was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and damage to public property after he was arrested in front of 6411 W. Archer at 6:44 p.m. Friday, May 9.
Rodney McDaniel, of the 7800 block of South Winchester, was encountered by police responding to a call about a driver slumped over the wheel of a vehicle.
A CPD spokesman did not say where the crash occurred, but added that McDaniel’s vehicle damaged a light pole and a tree. McDaniel also was ticketed for driving an uninsured vehicle.
Arrested at CTA bus turnaround
A 35-year-old West Elsdon man was charged with retail theft after he was arrested at the CTA bus turnaround at Archer and Neva at 5:58 p.m. Monday, May 12. |
Borczyk |
Lukasz Adam Borczyk, of the 5300 block of South Kenneth, allegedly stole merchandise from the Family Dollar store at 6190 S. Archer. A CPD spokesman said Borczyk matched a description given by store employees. He did not say what was allegedly stolen. When he was apprehended, police learned Borczyk was wanted on two warrants, but the spokesman did not say what Borczyk was wanted for or what jurisdiction issued the warrants.
According to public records, Borczyk has been arrested six times by CPD since 2019 on charges that included battery and possession of a controlled substance.
Claim man would not leave backyard
A 34-year-old South Shore man was charged with criminal trespass to property after he was arrested in front of 7011 W. Archer at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 13.
Jajuan Rice, of the 7300 block of South Exchange, allegedly entered a nearby residential backyard without permission and then allegedly refused to leave when told to do by a homeowner.
Say man drove on revoked license
A 47-year-old Brighton Park man was charged with driving on a revoked license after he was arrested during a traffic stop at 7150 W. Archer at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday, May 13. |
Galvez |
Rogelio Galvez, of the 4100 block of South Troy, was apprehended without incident.
According to public records, Galvez has been arrested six times by CPD since 2014, including a March 2017 arrest on a burglary charge, near 61st and Whipple.

A 35-year-old Clearing man was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested at his home in the 6100 block of West 64th Place at 1:38 a.m. Monday, May 12.
Ahmad F. Ayed allegedly punched and kneed a 35-year-old woman in the face, a CPD spokesman said.
According to public records, Ayed was arrested by CPD in October 2023 near Erie and Michigan and charged with DUI.

A 34-year-old Hearst area man was charged with aggravated assault after he was arrested at his home in the 4500 block of South Laramie at 4:13 p.m. Saturday, May 3.
J’Adore L. Johnson allegedly implied he had a gun as he threatened a 53-year man during an argument, a CPD spokesman said.

A 21-year-old Evergreen Park man was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a laser sight and possession of a high-capacity magazine with armor-piercing bullets, after he was arrested in front of Pasteur School, 5825 S. Kostner, at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 7.
Ceasar J. Garcia, of the 9400 block of South Ridgeway, also was charged with resisting arrest.
According to public records, Garcia was arrested by CPD in October 2022 near 61st and Komensky, charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Victor M. Campos, of the 5000 block of South Kildare, was found to be in a possession of a clear, plastic bag containing ecstasy, a CPD spokesman said. He also was charged with driving on a suspended license and driving a vehicle with expired registration.
According to public records, Campos was arrested by CPD in April 2024 near 51st and St. Louis and charged with possession of a controlled substance, as well as possession of a large quantity of cannabis.

A 34-year-old Garfield Ridge man was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance after he was arrested after a traffic stop in front of Potbelly’s sandwich shop, 5709 S. Harlem, at 5:24 p.m. Thursday, May 15.
Hector L. Flores, of the 5300 block of South Long, was found to be in possession of a small quantity of Xanax pills, as well as a clear plastic bag containing cocaine, a CPD spokesman said. Also, he was cited for driving a vehicle with no valid registration.

A 49-year-old Chicago Lawn man was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested in front of 5751 S. Mayfield at 7:22 p.m. Thursday, May 15.
George L. Rivera, of the 2700 block of West 60th Street, allegedly dragged a 47-year-old woman out of a vehicle during an argument, causing cuts to her skin, a CPD spokesman said.
Say man threw bottle at Uber driver
A 28-year-old Kenwood man was charged with battery after he was arrested outside Midway International Airport at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13. |

Evan B. Williams, of the 4500 block of South Oakenwald, allegedly threw a bottle of water at an Uber driver, striking the driver.
According to public records, Williams has been arrested seven times by CPD since 2015 on such charges as driving on a suspended license, theft, failure to appear in court, criminal trespass to a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and mob action.
He tried to strangle me, woman tells police
A 29-year-old Archer Heights man was charged with aggravated domestic battery/strangle after he was arrested at his home in the 5200 block of South Kostner at 2:07 a.m. Friday, May 2. |

Christopher Guzman-Gonzalez was encountered by officers responding to a report of a woman calling for help. He allegedly put his hands around the neck of a 33-year-old woman and squeezed, as she lay on a bed.
According to public records, Guzman-Gonzalez has been arrested four times by CPD since 2018, on charges that included criminal damage to property, unlawful use of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a laser sight.
Bust man on street near Ford City
A 33-year-old Back of the Yards man was charged with reckless conduct and possession of a pellet gun after he was arrested on the street in front of 4276 W. 76th St. at 3:31 p.m. Monday, May 5. |

Andy L. Bunch, of the 5000 block of South Aberdeen was reportedly harassing passing motorists when spotted by police.
According to public records, Bunch has been arrested five times by CPD since 2015 on such charges as driving on a suspended license, domestic battery and violating an order of protection.

A 24-year-old woman from suburban Burbank was charged with DUI after she was arrested in front of 8256 S. Pulaski at 8:16 a.m. Sunday, May 18.
Nadia Andrade, of the 5600 block of West 82nd Street, also was charged with failure to carry a driver’s license.
Charge woman with theft at Target

An 18-year-old woman was charged with retail theft after she was arrested at the Target at 4433 S. Pulaski at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 5.
Raegan Jackson allegedly stole about $150 worth of merchandise and concealed it in her purse, a CPD spokesman said without elaborating.
Say man violated order of protection again
A 21-year-old Chicago Lawn man was charged with violating an order of protection after he was arrested outside a home in the 3600 block of West 56th Street. |
Camargo Delgado |
Andres Camargo Delgado, of the 7100 block of South Sawyer, allegedly violated a court order when she sought to contact a 32-year-old woman. He also was charged with criminal trespass to property.
According to public records, Camargo Delgado was arrested at the same address on April 5, also charged with violating an order of protection.
Stood in the middle of Pulaski, police say
A 25-year-old West Garfield Park man was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of traffic by a non-motorist after he was apprehended at 3:32 a.m. Tuesday, May 6 at 6225 S. Pulaski. |

Malik J. Myatt, of the 4400 block of West Congress, allegedly walked away from a traffic stop and stood in the middle of Pulaski in protest, a CPD spokesman said.
According to public records, Myatt has been arrested five times by CPD since 2018 on such charges as criminal trespass to land, battery, domestic battery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Cesar Zaragoza allegedly made contact with a 26-year-old woman, in violation of a court order.
According to public records, Zaragoza has been arrested 12 times by CPD since 2017 on charges that included obstructing identification, DUI, speeding more than 35 mph over the posted limit, robbery, possession of a deadly weapon, battery and domestic battery.
