Midway Baseball Association Offers Fall Baseball, Softball For Boys and Girls

Clearing and Garfield Ridge parents who want their sons and daughters to play baseball or softball this fall are encouraged to register now with Midway Baseball Association.

The fall season runs for about seven weeks, starting in August. Home games are played at Madigan Field, 4701 W. Marquette Road.

Teams are open to both boys and girls.

Baseball players are expected to play at the level they will be in the spring of 2022. That means they will register for the program that matches the age they will be on Sept. 1, 2022.  

The cost of fall baseball per player is:
• T-Ball (3-4) and Shetland (5-6): $65.
• Pinto (6-8) and Mustang (9-10): $85.
• Bronco (11-12): $100.
• Pony (13-14): $125.
• Colt (15-16) and Palomino (17-18): $150.

Softball players are expected to play at the level they will be in the spring of 2022. That means they will register for the program that matches the age they will be on Dec. 31, 2021. 

The cost of fall fast-pitch softball per player is:
• 8U (6-8), 10U (9-10): $85.
• 12U (11-12): $100.
• 14U (13-14): $125.
• 16U (15-16) and 18U (17-18): $150.

But don't delay. Rosters fill up quickly, and registration closes on July 31.

The non-profit, volunteer-run MBA has provided athletic opportunities to local boys and girls since 1971. MBA is a Pony Affiliated Baseball and Softball League. It attracts players and coaches from across the Southwest Side and nearby suburbs.
