Boys and girls, moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas are invited to Touch a Truck, an event set for 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23 in the parking lot of Kinzie School, 5625 S. Mobile.
This hands-on activity is presented by the staff at Wentworth Park and sponsored by 13th Ward Alderman Marty Quinn and State Rep. Angelica "Angie" Guerrero-Cuellar (D-22nd).
Touch a Truck events offer kids an opportunity to climb aboard large vehicles they typically only see from afar--like dump trucks, garbage trucks, fire engines, ambulances, police cars and so forth.
There will even be food trucks at this event, so be sure and bring your cash.
