For all Southwest Siders who don't want to visit an Illinois Secretary of State facility, for whatever reason, there's a bit of good news.

The Illinois Secretary of State's Mobile Driver's Services Unit will be right here on the Southwest Side, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21 at the Quinn/Guerrero-Cuellar Service Office, 6500 S. Pulaski.

Services available include:

• Driver's license renewal or correction.
• State ID card renewal or correction.
• License plate stickers.
• If you renew your driver's license or ID, you will have to opportunity to register to vote and/or register as an organ donor.

But please note:

• Real ID-compliant driver's licenses and Real ID cards will not be available at this event. You must visit a Secretary of State facility for those.
• Driver's license renewals not available for drivers age 75 and older. If you are age 75 or older, you must renew at a Secretary of State facility.
• Written exams and driving exams not available at this event.
• Visions exams will be available, but drivers under age 18 or age 75 and older must get their licenses at a Secretary of State facility.

For more information, please call the Quinn/Guerrero-Cuellar Service Office at (773) 581-8000. And thanks to 13th Ward Alderman Marty Quinn and State Rep. Angelica "Angie" Guerrero-Cuellar (D-22nd) for making this happen.
