Lots of Dogs Have Their Day at Midway Chamber of Commerce's Pet Celebration

A big tip of the cap to the Midway Chamber of Commerce
and everyone--especially event Chairperson Kristin Cacciottolo-Jeziorny--who made the MCC's annual pet parade a big hit on Saturday, June 1--despite some truly fickle weather.

Big dogs, tiny dogs, chubby dogs, skinny dogs, canines of all kinds--and even a couple of reluctant cats--took part in the stroll around Wentworth Park.

There also was a reptile show inside the underground fieldhouse.

All in all, it was a fun event that shows once again what a nice place Garfield Ridge is--and a reminder for us all to shop locally!

Freelance photographer Steve Neuhaus was on hand to take a few photos for the Southwest Chicago Post. Here they are, in no particular order, along with a few photos by others, especially our friend, animal welfare advocate Ramona Piencak of the non-profit Regarding Rainey organization. Enjoy!
