Big Band Jazz Swings at Normandy Park

With much of the Garfield Ridge neighborhood headed south to Thursday's opening night of the St. Symphorosa Family Fest, it was easy to forget that there was a great, live performance of big-band jazz going on at Normandy Park.

And almost everyone did. Only about 30 people turned out to enjoy the sounds of Roland Brown and the Merchants.

The Southwest Chicago Post was there to capture the first half hour or so of the concert.
