Patriots Day Parade 2013 on Archer

Storm clouds just to the east and an unseasonably cool breeze made the 2013 Patriots Day Parade quite different (weather wise) from last year's edition, which was held in extreme heat and humidity.

We took a few photos on the fly from Archer and Linder.

Video coming later. Update: Brief video with a little parade fun posted below.

The Garfield Ridge Neighborhood Watch (above) teamed up with Best Home Insulation and Chicago Glass Blocks (below), two local companies honored by the GRNW at the parade as part of their new initiative to salute members of the local business community. Story here.

Chicago Police were visible throughout and kept order as usual. This unit (below) brought up the rear of the parade. Standing is CPD Eighth District Commander David R. McNaughton as he looks north on Lotus to give the staging area one last bit of scrutiny.
