Olympics Illinois.

They will be there from 5:00 a.m. to noon Friday, May 31, raising awareness and accepting donations. Those who donate $10 or more will receive a commemorative t-shirt and mug, plus Dunkin' Donuts coupons, according to CPD Sergeant Allen Cain of the Eighth District CAPS Program.

Those who donate a dollar will receive Dunkin' Donuts coupons.

The activity in the Eighth District is part of a much larger effort. That same day, hundreds of police officers from throughout the state are scheduled to cover more than
150 Dunkin’ Donuts rooftops to heighten awareness and raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.

Last year, more than $235,000 was raised at 130 Dunkin’ Donuts locations.
